Web Design
Web design is another area with huge potential for creativity. While more often an example of bill-paying than creative expression, it does still allow for plenty of opportunities for artistry and flourish. It's a new method of communication developped in the last two decades and as such provides a fresh canvas on which to paint. Below are some of the examples of webpages Jeff has designed and worked on.
- John Hughes.ca: Recording Artist
www.johnhughes.ca — A site to launch New Brunswick musician John Hughes' newest album, with sample songs and slideshows backing it up. - Distinctive Getaways
www.distinctivegetaways.ca — On this one, I built the Flash components, worked on their interactivity with Ann and Andrew, and also provided graphic and coding support. - A Fine Mess
www.afinemess.ca — a playful site, designed by Julie of Red Wagon Studio, for a creative art studio & supply shop. - Brio Brands
www.briobrands.com — a creative design company with a flair for the creative. Dori Burchat designed the site and I implemented it. - Shepherd's Fashions
www.shepherdsfashions.com — Venerable ladies fashion store Shepherd's gets a fresh but appropriate site to keep their clients up to date, courtesy of Julie of Red Wagon and myself. - Julie Dorion: Fine Artist
www.juliedorion.com — A lively, fun flash website to showcase Julie's amazing artwork. More artwork to be added soon. - Virtual Museum of Canada: Land of the Spirits
www.virtualmuseum.ca/Exhibitions/Spirits — A hugely informative site for which I provided audio, video, flash, css and technical support. - Red Wagon Studio
www.redwagonstudio.com — Designed by Julie, I put it together in flash and made it work. Waiting to finish Julie's personal site, but when I do, it will be up here as well. - Feeln' Fine
www.feelnfine.ca —
Another site designed by Julie of Red Wagon Design and implemented and maintained by me.
- Susie Mouroukas: Fine Artist
www.SusieMouroukas.com — A great folk artist (painter) from Ottawa. Julie of Red Wagon Studio designed the site, and I made it work in html. - WaveRate Communications Corp.
www.waverate.com — Designed and built the entire site in css. Still online though I think it can best still be billed as 'in development'. - Design By Salandra/Artznetwork
www.artznetwork.com — Temporarily disabled. I built the interactive flash header, using graphics from Salandra. Simple, but cool and effective. - David Scott Photography
www.davidscott.com — No longer using the Flash element. I did the Flash for this one, based on a design by Dori and Betty. Very cool dynamic loading of images so it can be easily updated by anyone at the company. - Broken Arrow: The Neil Young Tribute
www.brokenarrow.ca - No Longer Online — A nice site with a great MP3 player which randomly picks samples to play each time you visit. - Ontario Town and Country
www.ontariotownandcountry.ca — No longer online. I built the flash intro for this one, with design and content from Betty of Design House. - Ontario Town and Country Distance Calculator
http://www.ontariotownandcountry.ca/general/interactive_map.cfm — No longer online. A part of the larger town and country website, but worth inclusion here because of the neat disctance calculator I built in Flash, along with design by Betty of Design House. - LifeScape: Designing Your Future Virtual Tour
www.theconroygroup.com/lifescape/ — I built the mechanics of this one, the guts that made it work. Full interactive demo with audio and animation. Graphics are from Joanne at inDetail. - Merivale High School 40th Reunion Website
www.merivalereunion.ca — No longer online. A nice little website I did for my high school's 40th anniversary reunion. Made use of Flash, including a countdown to the reunion, video highlights and photos from the event. - Floral Memories Flower Shop
www.floralmemories.com — No longer online. Fun, interactive flash site for a flowershop which has since closed after the owner retired. - Trudeau Sculpture Website
www.trudeausculpture.ca — No longer online. They hold my personal record for client who took the longest to pay. And it wasn't even close...
