Costume sketches from the Death of Wolfe Snow Sculpture

Wolfe Snow Sculpture Costume Sketches

I’m slowing adding more sketches and supporting material from the Jeffco Snow Sculptures to the main Jeffco Snow Sculpture site and pages. This time, a series of Costume sketches based on the illustrations by R.J. Marrion in the book “Military Uniforms in Canada 1665-1970”. Text is likely paraphrased from the same source, though it’s been many years since the text was written and we weren’t as aware of copyright law at that time. We did take considerable efforts to make sure the details were as close as we could manage, and this included visits to several libraries, the National War Museum and reading several books on the subject.

If you’d like to learn more about the Jeffco Winterlude Snow Sculptures, or see any of the many other photos or sculptor’s resources from the City of Ottawa and Winterlude of years gone by, check out the Jeffco Snow Sculpture, Winterlude Links and Sculptor Resource pages.
