A friend helping out with her daughter’s grade school play brought me in to help design and facilitate some set work. We did some brainstorming and I went to a few ideas I kept in my back pocket and instead of doing a realistic backdrop we went a little more modern and expressive and got each of the classes in the school to contribute panels that we helped them with and covered the back wall of the stage and the walls of the auditorium with their efforts. It made for a very colourful and fun environment, totally immersive and impressive. Hope the kids enjoy how it turned out as much as we did.
